YoungChem is an international scientific conference organized by the Chemical Scientific Society “Flogiston” at the Faculty of Chemistry, Warsaw University of Technology. It brings together students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers to present their work, exchange ideas, and build professional connections in chemistry, but also in biotechnology and medical science.
The program includes keynote lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions, providing participants with multiple formats to share their research and engage in scientific discussion.

This year’s edition of the YoungChem conference is particularly special as it coincides with the 200th anniversary of Warsaw University of Technology. The Faculty of Chemistry, with origins dating back to 1896, is one of the oldest and most prominent scientific centers in Poland, combining a rich tradition with modern technologies and dynamic research development. With over 30 research and development groups and strong collaboration with industry, it plays a key role in advancing chemical sciences. During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to explore the history of the Faculty of Chemistry at WUT in a unique and inspiring way.
For the 19th time, we invite you to participate in YoungChem – the International Young Chemists Congress, organized by a group of passionate young scientists. The conference is dedicated to students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers who wish to present their work and connect with the international scientific community.
Since its first edition in 2003 in Zakopane, YoungChem has been held annually in various locations across Poland, steadily growing into a globally recognized conference. Over the years, it has hosted distinguished speakers from around the world, including Nobel Laureate Prof. Ben Feringa, as well as Prof. Jean-Pierre Sauvage and Prof. Fraser Stoddart.
This year’s edition will take place in Bystra, near Bielsko-Biała. The program includes oral presentations, poster sessions, and networking opportunities, creating a dynamic platform for scientific exchange and collaboration.
